The
following list reflects a sampling of the questions we've been asked about
the Web:
Q: Is the
Internet right for my business?
A:
Only you can answer that question. If you've read our "Why
The Net" section, then you know how the web is expanding and have
an idea of what it can do for you. Companies are using the Internet not
just to sell, but to establish or enhance the company identity, and to
provide support or information.
Q: Is my
company, organization, or business to small for the internet?
A:
No. Many companies large and small have enhanced their business on the
net. Small business have grown large because of the Internet, and
Organizations have found new ways of providing information. The
possibilities are limited by your imagination. One small restaurant in
California has placed their lunch menu on the net, so customers can order
meals before arriving or even for delivery. In 1993 there were 240
business on the Internet in 1997 the figure is over 500,000. The August
27, 1997 issue of "USA Today" predicts 6.6 Billion Dollars in
Internet commerce within the next three years.
Q: What about
Cost?
A:
Ok.. Obviously, the larger the site, the more the cost because of the work
involved. Let's say you spend $500 for a medium size Internet site, That
figures out to $1.36 per day your probably spending more on that in
postage, and how many of those letters go unread, or reach the wrong
customer base?
Q: There are
lots of programs out there to build web pages, and my nephew is really
good with a computer. Why can't we build our own site?
A: You
can, and if you have that's ok. CV World can help you market that site,
and improve the site so visitors will come more often and stay longer. If
your not happy with it, we can do a make over for you, often at a lower
cost. Keep in mind though that just publishing a site is not enough. It
may look good on your computer, but on the Internet the rules change. That
wonderful graphic of you product may take minutes to load because it
hasn't been optimized for the Internet, or all those animations and things
really slow things down. A presence on the Internet is not about
technology. It's a reflection of your business and should be thought out
and planned. Think of it as a business tool, not just an advertising
banner in cyberspace.
